Charlie Ervin Jr. is a dedicated community leader, entrepreneur, father, coach and current member of the Palm Springs Unified School District Board of Education representing Trustee Area 4.

 

Since being elected in 2022, Charlie has focused on improving educational opportunities, supporting teachers and families, increasing student wellness resources, and creating safer, more inclusive school environments for every student.

 

Before serving on the school board, Charlie served as President of the African American Parent Advisory Council (AAPAC), where he launched a successful college tour program designed to expose students to higher education opportunities and inspire future success.

 

As a trustee, Charlie has continued expanding educational access and student support by advocating for wellness centers in schools, championing anti-bullying and inclusion efforts through the Stop the Hate campaign, supporting teachers, and working collaboratively with parents and district leadership.
